How this site makes money.

Right now: no affiliate links exist

At the time of writing there is not a single outbound link to a hosting provider anywhere on this site, affiliate or otherwise. Nothing here has been monetized yet. The rest of this section describes what will happen when that changes.

Affiliate links, once they appear

Some links to hosting providers will be affiliate links. If you sign up through one, the provider may pay a referral commission at no extra cost to you.

Every affiliate link will be labeled where it appears, in the same block of text as the link itself, so you never have to come to this page to find out. Links to documentation, to pricing pages cited as sources, and to status pages will never be affiliate links.

What commissions will not decide

Commission rates differ sharply between hosting providers. The ordering in every comparison will come from the published run, and the raw output will be printed alongside it so you can check the ordering against the evidence yourself.

Where a host with no affiliate program at all is the right answer for a project, it will be named as the right answer.

Paid services

I sell a flat-fee migration and deploy service, performed by the same person who writes the benchmarks, and priced on its own page. Buying it is never a condition for reading anything here.

Products I have not used

I do not publish experience-based reviews of products I have not run. A host that has not been deployed to appears in the bench queue with no verdict attached. If you find a claim on this site that reads like first-hand experience and has no published run behind it, report it and it will be removed.
